FABRICS I LOVE!!!!

I've recently opened a fabric shop on etsy http://www.fabricsilove.com.

I've always loved sewing and anything to do with fabrics, fibers, embroidery, smocking, crocheting. Get the picture? So, I decided if I'm gonna do this I might as well feed the addiction, right? Now I have an excuse to buy fabric! What could be better?! Sell some so I can buy some, so I can sell some, so I can buy some..... I think there might be a pattern going here. Only problem is that I tend to buy more than I sell. So come on guys, help me out. Go check out my new shop and help a girl out.

Before I Was A Mom~

I slept as late as I wanted and never worried about how late I got into bed. I brushed my hair and my teeth everyday.
Before I was a Mom -
I cleaned my house each day. I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on - Pooped on - Spit on - Chewed on, or Peed on. I had complete control of my mind and My thoughts. I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom -
I never held down a screaming child so that doctors could do tests...or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom -
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down. I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life
so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known The warmth, The joy, The love, The heartache, The wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a Mom.

My New Blog!!

This is the start of my new blog! I don't exactly feel excited about it. Actually, if anything, it makes me feel OLD. I mean really OLD. All this computer stuff makes me feel old. I graduated eons ago with a degree in Computer Science. Does that give you a hint at how old I am? They don't even call it that anymore!! You know what I'm talking about. I mean my son could have all this figured out with a click, click, click. And then say "See mom that is all you have to do!" OK, now back to the first click, where did you click?? Well, I'm gonna bite the bullet and do this (without my son's help btw) and hopefully you will follow me as I learn. I hope to fill you in on the tips I learn along the way for those of you out there like me. You know who you are!!

This blog is primarily to keep track of all my sewing projects. I have always loved crafting and sewing. I can remember as a young girl sewing Barbie clothes with a needle and thread, before I was allowed to use the actual sewing machine. For Christmas I loved to get craft kits. I had a needlepoint Raggedy Ann pillow form that I finished. I remember making a macrame purse when I was in middle school. It was a white shoulder bag with macrame fringe. It had different colored beads on the fringe. I was totally hot, or maybe I was cool way back then!!

Hopefully with this blog I will be able to keep you informed with another "newbie" in my life. I just opened an online shop to sell some of my things. This will be primarily for children and baby clothing and accessories, but of course there will also be gifts for us moms and Glammas too! My new shop name is Giggle Kids Boutique!! Kinda catchy huh? And one other thing I hope comes across in my blog is my love for my Lord Jesus and my family. They are the main focus of my life so a great deal of my blog will be devoted to them!
